Arno Melkonyan is a composer, pianist and guitarist from Yerevan, Armenia. He started his musical journey at the age of nine at Yerevan Music School after K Sarajyan studying piano performance. Arno moved with his family to live in Middle East and South East Asia and, while at the international high school, started writing his first compositions as a self-taught composer blending his classical background with local pop and jazz music.

He would later pursue private studies in composition with composer David Balasanyan in 2021 before starting his bachelor’s degree in Music Composition and Games Scoring at Berklee College of Music in early 2023.

Arno’s compositional style blends Late Romantic Era and jazz fusion influences, as well as his native Armenian folk and chant traditions. Arno continues to explore and expand his musical voice, drawing inspiration from his diverse experiences and cultural heritage.
